Fort Thomas Armory

The Armory was constructed in 1896 and was constructed for $50,235.22, and was not part of the original plan for the Fort. In 1972 the Armory was the first facility to be open to the public in the Park. The lower level hallway floor was painted with the words “TOWER PARK”, and still remain there since Mrs. Irvin Knaeble named the complex. On any night the Armory gym can be packed with people playing volleyball in city leagues, open gym, or playing Pickleball on our indoor courts. Curtain dividers allow for multiple sports to be played at once.
