Covid-19 Vaccine Information

COVID-19 Vaccinations in Campbell County will be given on Tuesday April 6th, 2021 at Main Street Baptist Church located at 11093 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria Kentucky.   If you have read below and are eligible for a vaccine, you must schedule an appointment.  Please do not show up at the site without an appointment. You can register at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/805094baca92ea7fd0-covid1932

Northern Kentucky is currently vaccinating people18 years of age and older.  You must be a resident of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and able to demonstrate residency consistent with the requirements of KRS 186.010(12) or an individual providing healthcare services involving direct care to patients in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  Residence Verification – “Resident” means any person who has established Kentucky as his or her state of domicile. The possession by an operator of a vehicle of a valid Kentucky operator’s license shall be prima-facie evidence that the operator is a resident of Kentucky.  

Please do not schedule a vaccine at multiple vaccine sites, as you will prevent another eligible person from receiving the vaccine.  

Please make sure you have read and understand all of the following information before scheduling an appointment: 

·         Vaccines are available by appointment only.  Walk-ins will not be permitted as vaccine doses are limited to the individuals who have registered. Those who arrive without a scheduled appointment, will not be vaccinated.

·         You must wear a mask at your appointment and remain socially distanced from others.

·         If you are positive for COVID-19, you may be vaccinated after you are considered recovered and out of isolation/quarantine. We encourage you to talk to your healthcare provider about when you should receive the vaccine.

·         After you receive a vaccination, you must continue to wear appropriate PPE in professional settings and social distancing and masking in personal situations. 

·         You will not be charged for the vaccine. Other partners may bill insurance for an administrative fee.

·         The COVID-19 Vaccine cannot be given to anyone who has received a vaccine for another illness within a 14 day time period.

·         This clinic will be dispensing the Johnson and Johnson Vaccine.

HELP WANTED CROSSING GUARD
The City of Fort Thomas is seeking a crossing guard
for Moyer Elementary School (Hours: 7:45 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and
Memorial Parkway and N. Fort Thomas Avenue intersection (Hours: 7:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.).
Assistance crossing children is needed for a short period of time in the morning and afternoon on school days.  Must be 18 years of age or older; rate of pay is $11.00 per hour, paid for a full hour per shift, payable bi-weekly while school is in session.

City Administrative Offices Temporarily Moving

Fort Thomas City Offices – Temporary Relocation

The City of Fort Thomas Administration offices, including City Administrator, City Clerk, Finance office, General Services (office personnel only) and Economic Development Director will be located at the Armory Building (950 S. Fort Thomas Ave) beginning  Monday January 4, 2021.

The offices are situated on the first floor and access will be from the entry located in Tower Park.
Important items to note:

            Mailing address for all city business will continue to be: 130 N. Ft. Thomas Ave., Fort Thomas, KY 41075

            Business phone will remain (859) 441-1055

            Hours of Operation will remain:  8:00 am – 4:30 pm  Monday – Friday

Access for business during COVID is limited to lobby drop-off/pickup unless appointment scheduled in advance.

There will be no business conducted on location at city building EXCEPT Police Department or Fire Department through their regular contact protocols.

Council Meetings, City Boards & Commissions and all other city public meetings will be held at the Community Center/Mess Hall located in Tower Park. Check city website for calendar of meetings.

This temporary relocation is necessary to permit the renovation of the offices at the city building and will tentatively last through the calendar year of 2021.

Tower Park Updates

Tower Park – Shelter 3 Area (across from VA Hospital)

You may have seen improvements to the basketball courts as well as the new shelter in Tower Park.  The City of Ft. Thomas intends to complete this area by late spring.  A volleyball court, additional parking, and modified play area will be great additions/upgrades to our park system.

Tower Park – Ballfield

Improvements have been taking place at the Tower Park Ball Field.  We intend to have the field ready for spring, with additional improvements in the year(s) to come.

Waterworks Road Closure

Sanitation District No. 1 will be replacing a portion of the sanitary sewer on Waterworks Road. A portion of the road will be closed from September 2 to December 1, 2020.
The road will be barricaded at night, allowing access only for the local resident at 262 Waterworks Rd, and Emergency Personnel.
