In recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day, I wanted to provide you an update on the treatment and recovery resources available to all our neighbors in need throughout Northern Kentucky. As we take this day to reflect on our loved ones lost, I hope we also can lean into the hope that guides the work for so many of us. Northern Kentucky has been busy building a system of care for those who struggle with the disease of addiction or have a substance use disorder. Please find twenty minutes to watch the below video to learn more about how the landscape has changed in our community. Northern Kentucky is truly leading the way. If you or someone you know needs help, please call the Northern Kentucky Addiction Helpline, 859-415-9280. We are here to help because prevention works, treatment is effective, and people do recover. – Amanda Peters, NKY Office of Drug Control Policy
