Highland Hills Park

Highland Hills Park

Fort Thomas City Council voted to purchase the 60 acre tract of land that is now Highland Hills Park in 1939 for $22,000. In 1940 summer kicked off in the park with the first Fort Thomas ‘field day’ complete with back yard games, community singing, and a picnic. Highland Hills Park is now home to our Dog Park. The Dog Park has a small dog area, and a large dog area, equipped with water, ‘Mitt-Mutts’ and shade. Highland Hills Park is also where the Bluebirds of Highland High Schools baseball team calls home.

The park has also grown over the years to 77.4 acres of forest hiking trails, sports facilities, and playgrounds.
